Best AI form builders in 2026

Spiceform, Jotform, Fillout and Typeform all generate a complete form from a plain-language description. Google Forms does only on paid Workspace plans with Gemini. Tally does not.

Competitor prices read from each vendor’s own pricing page on . Spiceform prices are generated from the same data as its checkout.

How this comparison was made

Each tool was judged on one question: can you describe a form in a sentence and get a working, multi-field form back, without picking a template first? Vendor marketing claims were not accepted — a tool counts as having AI form generation only if the feature is in the product on a plan a member of the public can buy. Prices are the entry paid tier read from each vendor's own pricing page on 28 September 2026, in USD, billed monthly unless stated. Our own prices are read from the same data the Spiceform checkout uses, so they cannot drift from what you are actually charged.

What our own data shows

AI generation replaces template browsing for most first forms

Across Spiceform accounts, a form created from an AI description reaches its first published version in materially fewer editor sessions than one started from a blank form, because the field list arrives complete and the work becomes editing rather than authoring. This is the mechanism the whole category is selling, and it is the reason a tool without it is a different product rather than a cheaper one.

Where Spiceform is the wrong choice

  • Spiceform has fewer native integrations than Typeform or Jotform. Salesforce and HubSpot are reached through Zapier rather than directly.
  • Spiceform's template library is smaller than Typeform's or Jotform's. AI generation is the intended substitute, which is a trade and not a win.
  • Tally and Google Forms are free with unlimited responses. If you need a form and nothing else, both are cheaper than any paid plan here including ours.
  • Conditional logic carries across on import only from Typeform, Google Forms and Tally, and Tally's show/hide blocks are not among it. From Jotform, Fillout and the rest, questions, types and order import and branching is rebuilt by hand.

Questions people ask

Fillout's Starter plan, $15/mo billed yearly ($19 month to month), is the cheapest paid plan with AI form generation. Spiceform's Hot plan is $22/mo billed annually ($29 monthly) and includes 1,000 responses and a 50-contact CRM. If you need no paid features at all, Tally and Google Forms are free, but Tally does not generate forms from a description and Google Forms does so only on paid Workspace plans.

Yes. When you create a new form in Typeform you can describe it, and Typeform AI drafts the whole form, which you then refine by chatting with it. Spiceform does the same on every plan, including the free one, where the included AI credits cover five complete forms a month.

Usually not without an edit. Generation is reliable at getting the field list, the types and the order right, which is most of the work; it is less reliable at wording that matches your brand and at knowing which fields are legally required in your industry. Treat the output as a first draft that is 80% done, not a finished form.
