Delayed actions and scheduled automations
Configure time delays between form submission and email delivery for timed follow-ups.
Not every email should fire the instant a form is submitted. Delayed actions let you schedule emails to go out minutes, hours, or even days after submission — perfect for drip sequences, follow-up reminders, or feedback check-ins.
How to add a delay
- 1Create an email automation in the Automations tab as usual.
- 2In the action configuration, toggle "Add delay" to ON.
- 3Set the delay amount: choose a number and a unit (minutes, hours, or days).
- 4Save. The email will now wait the specified duration after each submission before sending.
Use case examples
- •30-minute follow-up — send a thank-you email with a discount code after a lead form submission.
- •24-hour check-in — ask customers if they have any follow-up questions the day after they submitted a support request.
- •7-day feedback loop — request a review or testimonial one week after a purchase survey.
Pro tip
You can stack multiple delayed automations on the same form to create a simple drip sequence (e.g., Day 1 welcome + Day 3 tips + Day 7 upgrade prompt).
