Applying and customizing themes
Choose from built-in themes or create your own with custom colors, fonts, border radius, and backgrounds.
Themes control the visual look-and-feel of your form: colors, fonts, border radius, background images, and button styles. Every form ships with a default theme, but you can switch to a preset or build a custom one from scratch.
Applying a preset theme
- 1Open the Design tab in the builder sidebar.
- 2Browse the theme gallery — each card shows a live mini-preview of colors and typography.
- 3Click a theme to apply it instantly. The canvas updates in real time.
Customizing your theme
Below the preset gallery, the Design tab exposes granular controls:
- •Background color — the main form background.
- •Text color — heading and body text.
- •Button color — the primary action button ("Next", "Submit").
- •Button text color — contrast color for button labels.
- •Font family — choose from a curated set of Google Fonts.
- •Border radius — from sharp corners (0px) to fully rounded (24px).
- •Background image — upload a full-bleed image or gradient overlay.
Saving custom themes
Once you've dialed in a look you love, click "Save Theme" at the bottom of the Design tab. Give it a name and it will appear in your personal theme gallery for reuse across all your forms.
Use the Builder AI Assistant to change themes conversationally — just say "make it dark mode with blue accents" and the AI will update every color for you.
