Google Sheets live sync
Automatically push every new response to a Google Spreadsheet as it comes in.
Google Sheets Live Sync pushes every new form submission to a Google Spreadsheet in real time. Your team can view, analyze, and share data in a familiar spreadsheet interface without any manual export.
Connecting a Google Sheet
- 1Open the form in the builder and go to the Connect tab.
- 2Click "Connect Google Sheets" and sign in with your Google account.
- 3Choose an existing spreadsheet or create a new one.
- 4Map form fields to spreadsheet columns. Spiceform auto-suggests mappings based on field names.
- 5Click "Activate". Every new submission will now append a row to the sheet.
How syncing works
- •New submissions are appended as new rows within seconds of being submitted.
- •Column headers are generated from your field labels. If you rename a field in the builder, the header updates on the next submission.
- •Existing rows are never modified — each submission is a new row.
- •Partial submissions (abandoned) are not synced unless you opt in from the sync settings.
Pro tip
Combine Google Sheets sync with Google Data Studio (Looker Studio) to build real-time dashboards from your form data.
Google Sheets Live Sync is available on the Hot plan and above.
